Alice Kennedy is known for her light-hearted playful approach to teaching....bringing a sense of fun and community to the practice of yoga. Grounded in a strong heart-body foundation, her students are surprised at how they begin to safely expand their practice, leading to more beauty and confidence on and off their mats.
Alice has studied and taught alignment based yoga for over 20 years, has studied and worked at several yoga and Buddhist centers, and has led retreats in Brazil, Costa Rica, Spain, and Mexico. When she isn't teaching yoga, you can find her hiking the Santa Cruz Mountains, cozy at home with her little yoga dog, or plotting her next big adventure!
Visit our schedule for the latest updates. Alice offers her All Levels class (hybrid) on Tues. and Thurs., 12:00 - 1:00pm.

We are excited and pleased to announce Maria Alfaro’s next TRE workshop Saturday, April 25 2:00 - 4:00pm. This workshop will be a benefit for Yoga Center Santa Cruz, all proceeds go directly to support your favorite yoga center!!! The TRE (Tension and Trauma Releasing Exercises) exercises mildly tire the legs, triggering an involuntary shaking and trembling response, which begins in the legs and often spreads throughout the body. This natural response is the nervous system’s way of discharging long-held tension and unconscious body contraction, caused by everyday stress and traumatic life experiences, in order to restore the body to wholeness.
People can register by sending a $55 payment using this link and by specifying that that they are paying for the TRE workshop at YCSC.
