How To Start A Home Practice Workshop
Back by popular demand. If you missed the workshop the last time, you have another opportunity. Facilitated by Abbey Asher, Iyengar Yoga Teacher and Home Practice Enthusiast.
Isn’t it time you started a home practice? Wouldn’t it be great to practice while your teacher is away this summer? Or, wouldn’t it be great to practice when you are away this summer? What is getting in the way of practicing on your own? What are the potential benefits of a home practice?
This workshop will cover:
- The tools you need to get started
- What poses to practice for different effects
- How to sequence your practice
- How long to practice
- And more….
This will be a two-part workshop with two weeks in between, to give students a chance to try out some of the strategies presented in the first workshop.
Dates: Saturday, May 18 & Saturday, June. 1, 3-5pm at the Vet’s Hall.
Cost: $75 for both sessions.
If you are interested, please email Abbey at abbeyyoga@gmail.com by May 11. To get the most out of this workshop, participants should have at least six months of yoga classes under their belts.
Summer Intensive with Kofi Busia
June 19-23, Wednesday – Sunday
Veteran’s Hall, 846 Front Street, Santa Cruz
Cost: 5 or more classes: $25/class, for 4 classes or less $30/class.
Level 3-5, 10:30 – 12:30pm
Level 1-3, 4:30 – 6:30 pm
Kofi Busia is offering two intensive sessions daily during the five-day session. Applicants need not come every day and may book for 1 or 2 classes each day. NOTE: the advanced Level 3-5 classes are only for strong and well-established Iyengar-style students. Please email maya@yogacentersantacruz.com if you have any questions.
