Last year, Maya and the 2018 participants had only other people’s recommendations about Mar de Jade. Now we have first-hand accounts – check the testimonials below. Also feel free to ask Maya and the participants if you have more questions.

Another good resource is Mar de Jade’s website, it is very helpful and accurate. In particular, their FAQs will addresses several concerns about traveling, dietary concerns, etc.

Maya’s Mexico retreat was magical....Maya Lev is simply the best yoga instructor on the planet. I loved everything about it and have already booked my room for upcoming retreat

Maya’s Mexico retreat was magical. Mar de Jade is a mindful social enterprise, which uses its profits to support amazing nonprofit ventures—an elementary school providing quality education in Chacala, a very poor rural town with limited opportunities; an organic farm which supplies the resort with amazing fresh fruit, vegetables, and eggs for the delicious three meals a day served in the open air pavilion; a water purification plant so no one got sick and a technical training program for post-high school youth. Yoga each morning before breakfast and yoga each afternoon before drinks at the bar (dare I mention the jalapeño or grapefruit margaritas?) and dinner, with one meal more enticing than the next. The schedule provided ample space during the day to enjoy the ocean, jacuzzi/sauna, whale watching, shopping, hiking, or just relaxing in a hammock while reading a good book. Maya Lev is simply the best yoga instructor on the planet. I loved everything about it and have already booked my room for upcoming retreat.

4 hours of yoga is not only doable but great

When considering whether to do, I could only rely on the recommendation of others and the Mar de Jade web siste. But now, having participated, it is no longer abstract. The delightful town of Chacala is literally 5 minutes waliking on the beach. 4 hours of yoga is not only doable but great. The excursions offered by Mar de Jade are wonderful and should not be missed and New Year’s Eve was totally amazing!!
